wont reverse
hey guys, anyone have any ideas why my car wont move in reverse. its not that it wont go into gear but when i try to move the car it struggles very hard and feels like something in the back end is seized. its not the brakes or e brakes. the car moves forward no problem. any ideas? thanks
When my tranny was bad it would not reverse, well, after 2 or 3 seconds it wouldn't. When I shifted into reverse I could hit the gas real quick and it would back up about 10 feet then a forward gear would kick in and try to move the car forward. It would fight and move forward a little. If I tried to back up normally it would not move back at all, the forward gear would kick in to fast for it to move back.
I said all that to say this, your tranny is likely bad. You can drive forward for 100,000 miles like that. Do you have a cel and fashing arrow sometimes?
