Default yet another central locking question

So, on the previously mentioned 1996 850 GLT, the central/remote locking does not work in any way shape or form. I've replaced batteries in each of the 2 remotes, each door has to be manually unlocked or locked, and is equally unresponsive whether by using the switch on the dash or attempting to unlock the doors via the passenger or driver side lock......so where do I start? Thanks in advance....

There is a relay either under the black cover by the fuse panel. You will have to remove the 4 torxes 25 screws and look.
Or it is under the dash on the left side. Most of the relays are labeled on what they are. There is one for Central Locking.
