08 C30 Power Drivers seat with memory
Hello everyone.
I have been having a lot of trouble with my power drivers seat with memory. It would seem that this very young car has a touch of Alzheimers. I've had the car in twice. First time two days second time four days (replaced memory module) and they still have not fixed the problem. The memory seat works as it's supposed to for a day or two then forgets the settings. The settings are still in the seat memory because I can push the button on the seat and it will go to that setting. It's when the car is locked with the key fob (fob1) or (fob2) the seat does not go to the setting set with that particular fob. I have demonstrated to the service department how to operate this option and they tell me I'm doing it correctly but the key fob portion just won't work as designed. Another thing that will happen is if I get in the car after unlocking it with my fob and the seat doesn't move to my setting, I will then push the #2 button to move the seat to my setting which is a lot farther back than my wife's. I then drive the car with the intention of locking it when I arrive at my destination to reset the fob but as soon as I open the door to get out the seat will move back to my wife's setting. I have to be quick to get out of the car because my wife's setting is quite a bit farther forward and traps me in the seat. Has anyone else with this option had any problems similar to this?
Thanks
Jim
