2008 C30 2.0d does not have an in tank fuel pump
Didnt find anything specific so just wanted to make this so if someone is in the same situation, they can find this.
So my 2.0d c30 just didnt start one morning without any warning or anything. After unsuccessful troubleshooting i ended up ordering a new in tank pump that was supposedly for my vehicle and cut a hole just above the fuel tank access hole/pump hole. And yeah there ended up only being the fuel level sensor.
And the fix? On the hose from fuel filter to the high pressure pump (which actually is the only pump in the car) one hose clamp had loosened slightly and was letting a small amount of air in the system which rendered the fuel pump useless. Tightened the clamp, primed the pump and after charging the battery it started fine.
