2011 or 2012 Volvo C30...is it worth buying?
Hi,
I'm in the market for a used car and love the looks of the C30 (I already have a XC70) to have a smaller car replacing a VW GTI I had. Before I dive in I have a few questions..... I'm concerned that since it's no longer made I might have parts trouble? How much life is left in a C30 with 90k or 100k miles on it..?
Any lastly, are there any things to look out for, or known potential problems?
Thanks for any input, I appreciate it!
Alan.

I have 2008 one since day one. Is a beautiful car and one of kind. Mine has 95k miles on it It has been a good car. But at that mileage anything can go wrong. If you can buy it for a $1000 or two, I would say do it.

If it's a diesel check if it is fitted with a DPF filter........ If so it will need to be replaced at 100,000 miles / 10 years and it's an expensive job.
Otherwise, go for it. They are superb cars which still look good and are solidly built.

A modern-day car with 100,000 miles on it should not be a problem PROVIDED you have written proof of annual engine oil and filter changes.
With this in mind you should be ok for another 50,000 miles.
A C30 diesel at 100,000 miles requires a new DPF filter to be fitted. Price this up at a dealer and check if you would be prepared to pay for this.
Otherwise, it's a reliable car and a solid buy.
