C30 having issues constantly. I’ve recently upgraded my C30 with a bunch of add ons, tuning and all that good stuff. I’ve have nothing but trouble. I’m wondering, can a TCV be faulty and still work just not as good or when they go bad do they just go bad and no boost at all? For the life of me I cannot figure out why it’s stopped being the power house I know it can be.

 

sure the boost control valve can go bad or you can have an issue with a vacuum leak, but when mine went on my S40, it threw a code. When you did your mods, did you do anything with the wastegate set up? wondering if it just needs adjusting. Do you have the ability to scan some of the run time parameters?

 

I think we figured it out. We hooked it up to the computer and it said boost too high. Replaced the tcv and so far it’s had noticeably more power. I’m hoping that was the only issue. Thanks for the feedback!
