C30 Pinging/Pinking Issues
Hi
My Volvo C30 2.0 Petrol is pinking/pinging. Underload, at slightly lower revs, and it is unavoidable throughout the day.
We have replaced the knock sensor, replaced fuel filter. Looked for the fuel sensor that the other forums always talk about but couldn’t find it on my car?
any help with finding the cause would be greatly appreciated.

Was there any cure for this, as I’ve got the same problem on my 2013 2.0 petrol

It's just an easy suggestion...but I got this weird "popping" sound at the top of the engine on my C30...only at idle mostly... Turns out it was the oil filter breather box membrane (a replaceable unit under the car). The way I found to test for this was to simply pull out the dip stick at idle and if the sound goes away...there you go.
