Default DPF & Throttle Body Problems 1.6 D 2009

Hi, I'm trying to help my daughter with her C30 problems! Earlier in the year she miss-fuelled by a small amount, the garage advised her to brim the tank with diesel and all should be ok! A few weeks later 'limp mode' set in, another trusted garage cleared the codes and said the DPF & throttle body needed to be changed, but the car wasn't worth it! I find this hard to believe!

I'm pretty handy with the spanners, how hard is it to change the DPF & throttle body and what costs are likely to be involved?

Thank you for your help.

Hi

I am not a specialist but also find it hard to believe.Try first removing throttle body and give it a good clean.

The below should help.

DFP filters are around £100-200
BM11006 | VOLVO C30 2.0 10/06-12/10 Diesel Particulate Filter | Buy Catalytic Converters Online

If you are good with spanners and have some spare time, i would suggest cleaning the throttle body first, also helps to clean mass airflow sensor

Cost mostly your time, plus £5 for kerosene and contact cleaner. Then i would consider replacing DPF or you can consider the below

Hope this helps.
