One of the two keys to my 2012 C30 was stolen and I'm looking for the correct replacement.
The original key (the one I still have) has a part number (31300354).
When shopping within the US, I find two part numbers for this vehicle, neither of them being the noted one above.
Current part numbers are: (31252732) & (31300258). There is a significant price difference between these two part numbers.
Additionally, depending upon which supplier I'm searching, there is a discrepancy over which part number is for vehicles with keyless entry.
To my knowledge, none of the c30's (Maybe the Polstar edition?) were ever equipped with keyless entry in the US.
You do understand that for your new replacement key to actually start the car and the remote functions to work - A software download using a VIDA subscription (and a DICE unit) will be needed? How was that activity going to happen?
Yes. I am well aware that I will still need the dealer or some other entity using a VIDA subscription (and a DICE unit) to program the key functionality.
My question really centers around which part number works - or will either work.
Your provided link suggest that 31300258 is the one. However, I've also seen 31252732 as a valid part number for the same vehicle without keyless entry, and this one is about $100 less expensive (prior to programming, of course).
Sorry, no. I will not make the determination as to what part # is needed - without calling my local dealer and asking. And probably purchasing it from them and either programming it myself (with a
VIDA subscription) or paying them to do it.
That way - if the wrong part is ordered and does not work - you won't have to pay for it. (that's happened quite a few times with normally non - returnable items I've purchased for customers)
