Post Stereo Replacement - What happens to the software?

Hi,

I'm new so please forgive me if this is a stupid question.

I have a C30 R-Design Sport 09 reg. I would like to change the stereo and install a DAB radio etc...

My question is: What happens to the menus and settings included in the current stock installed radio system such as the clock adjust etc? I am worried that I won't be able to access the settings anymore.

Any advice?

You're right, you won't. The clock can still be set on the instrument panel.

I have also just realised that I would also lose volume and climate functionality. Deffo not doing it now.

Does anyone happen to know if Volvo do it as an aftermarket option? I'm sure they would be able to upgrade and keep functionality in that scenario.
