Default 1999 C70 Suspension options - how to identify

I recently bought a 99 C70 Convertible HTP. I"m starting with a break and suspension refresh.

How do you know which suspension you have, and what exactly is different. I've ordered G57040 replacement struts from Gabriel, and now I'm concerned that I might have an optional suspension, and haven't ordered a suitable replacement.

I'm very new to Volvos... but learning fast.

Suggest you search the forums for suspension upgrades before asking questions.

Absolutely. But I haven't had any success yet. My quest is to learn how to spot a standard suspension from an optional suspension, but I"m mostly finding how to improve suspension.

Member wasn't asking about upgrades! A response identifing suspension variables for his ride from OEM would have been more appropriate!
