Review CarFax, drive both, and determine what each car will need for maintenance and repair to meet your requirements. When I bought my 1999 every part of the suspension was trashed, needed a timing belt, tires etc.... so consider what might be needed down the road, particularly on the higher mileage car.

I have an HT and love the engine, but if performance isn't a priority, then either drivetrain should serve you well. Have the transmission checked in both vehicles, that seems to be a common weakness.

Make sure the roof works, and works well. Otherwise both look pretty nice.

This is just one man's opinion.
