If I search this forum for "door opens while driving", I see that this issue occurs across many models, but it doesn't seem that Volvo has acknowledged a common problem.

I drove four hours yesterday at speeds around 65-70MPH and had the driver's side door pop open 6 different times. Each time, I closed it firmly, tried to push it open to ensure it was latched, then about 30 or 45 minutes later, I'd see the warning light on the dash, the overhead light would come on, and the door would be unlatched again. This had happened to me a few times in the past while running around town but I always figured I failed to close the door firmly. Yesterday was telling as I confirmed each time the door was tightly closed and then it opened minutes later.

Any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions?
