2009 c70 IAT sensor?
My 2009 volvo c70 is pitting out a p0112 code.. IAT sensor low voltage. The odb is showing -40. We have replaced the boost sensor on the intercooler and code remains.. Any suggestions on problem or troubleshooting? Is there an iat sensor, i cant find one in the parts lookup for this model
Thanks
Eric

IAT = Intake Temperature Sensor , nothing to do with the Booster Sensor.
This is a copy and paste from other source =
Causes Usually the P0112 is caused by a bad IAT (internally shorted or open or otherwise damaged), but it could also be: No reference voltage to the IAT sensor due to an open wire Excessively high intake air temperatures Short to ground on signal circuit Damaged IAT connector Bad PCM Possible Solutions Hook up your scan tool or code reader and read the IAT reading. With a cold engine, the IAT should roughly match the coolant reading, since both will read ambient temperature. If the IAT is reading excessively high, check the IAT connector for damage. If you find none, unplug the IAT sensor and recheck the reading. It should now read the minimum, around -20 deg. If it does, then replace the IAT sensor. But, if the reading is still high, unplug the sensor and check for resistance across the two wiring harness terminals. If there is infinite resistance, then the PCM itself is bad. If the resistance isn't infinite, then check and repair the short to ground on the signal circuit.

Thank you for the response.
I don't know where to locate the IAT sensor on this car.
I have looked at whatever i could find online and can't seem to find a part in the catalogs or a diagram anywhere showing the location. is it called something else or is it integrated into another component. I am getting a -40 on the obd scan .
much appreciate any comment on this topic

Thanks, but that part is not for my model year.
I purchased the volvo Diag interface and software Dice/Vida and and able to communicate with the car .. The code is a P-0112 (ECM-131D) which is (IAT Sensor signal Low) When I go through the fault trace , Diagnostics and info it points me to the boost sensor located on the intercooler. I have replaced this part with genuine Volvo from dealer, removed and cleaned the contacts at the female connector and the fault remains. and the DTC on the ECM reads -40c for the IAT
When I research this model year, I can not find any reference to a separate IAT sensor in the parts catalog or in the Vida software. Online I see reference for temperature reference at the MAF and was at the dealer yesterday and they told me that I should replace the temp sensor on the Thermostat housing (Temperature Gauge Kit PN 30650752). in the Sweedishautoparts catalog, it lists this part as (S40 2004–2012 Coolant Temp Sensor IAT Turbo)
I'd like to think that I'm not an idiot but, The term Air intake would point me to something that involves Airflow not water. The Temp sensor on the thermostat housing would point me to water and that make little sense to me to replace.
Can someone please assist with a little more detail on how I can go about troubleshooting this issue, I really appreciate the assist.

An update for all ..
The Boost and IAT sensor are integrated on this model year / car. The part is located on the intercooler. I replaced the part and it did not rectify problem. Further troubleshooting revealed a damaged wire from the sensor to the ECU. Once repaired, the IAT is now throwing off the correct readings
thanks
