2011 Low Beam Failure
I recently had both my low beams go out at the same time. I thought that was strange so I looked to see if a fuse was the issue but I cant fone one. Am I just missing it or do these go out in pairs for some reason?
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.
If you put in new bulbs and they work, then its not the fuse or a relay issue. Most likely the bulbs just both hit their end of life at roughly the same time but its possible a voltage fluctuation could cause them to go. Best to check your voltage (engine running) to make sure there's no issue with the regulator - although I'd suspect if there was you'd get an over voltage warning message. Also a good time to inspect your battery posts and cable terminals.
Great. There is a big warning about high voltage around the housing. If I disconnect the battery cables can I get in there without issue? I've done plenty of house wiring so I'm not oblivious to electrical.
I really appreciate your help.

They are HID and they are the ones that move when you turn. Ive never replaced bulbs in lights like these. There are a few pages in the manual but they talk about high voltage which is new to me.
I had the exact same issue during the summer earlier this year. Passenger side ballast went, then put on some Amazon bulbs on both side, then driver side ballast went. I replaced both ballasts and bulbs, purchased from eBay. Haven't had an issue yet. Make sure you run those ballasts with the bulb (link below), not any others, otherwise they will go.
