Default ABS TRACS OFF light phantom appearance

So I was driving down the road on Saturday and out of nowhere the ABS and TRACS OFF light show up.. no abrupt stopping of heavy accelerating, just cruising down the road and they show up. I get to my destination and turn off the car.. come back to drive away 10 minutes later and they are still on. This time, on the way home they dissapear while driving and have yet to return after three days. I was going to immediately take her in to get diagnoses but if the lights are gone can I still get the ABS codes read?

Has same issue. Removed all ABS sensors and cleaned them. Problem still intermittant. Replaced ABS/Trac module - problem fixed! Both of my ABS/TRAC lights would come on or go off for no reason. TRAC switch would not work. All is fine now. Ordered all new ABS sensors also, going to install soon, just to make sure they don't fail next. ABS/TRAC module difficult to get @ the 4 mounting screws. E25 socket came with new module, had my own. You have 15 days to return old module. Got mine in mail last WEDS, replaced Fri, returned module ystrdy.

Thanks good to know. Where did you order your module from? I imagine that it will eventually start coming on again sooner or later.

The module comes with a 1/4in. drive E-5 External TORX bit socket. The socket that came with mine was worn. I had a new one I got @ NAPA P/N: NMT405. It worked alot better. Alot of patience is required to remove the mounting screws!!!! Slow work!!! Good luck!
