Default Another top problem

I'm new here, but not to auto forums. I would normally search but time it's of the issue. So I'll search and post. I'm buying a 99 c70 and found one at a great deal. The only issue with the car that I can't figure out the fix for is with the top. The windows will go down the lid will open the back of the top will lift up then it stops. It seems like it's not releasing from t the windshield. I need to know how much parts or repair will possably be. Fuses if so eheresre they for the top and it's that a separate motor inside the car close to the front of the top

Sorry posted from a phone and just saw the jumbled mess at the end of the post. I was asking are there any fuses and is that a second motor for the front of the top inside the car close to the windshield

If you haven't already negotiated off at least $500 from the purchase price, RUN!

My mechanic found a microswitch which had "exploded" down in the depths of the convertible top storage area. He found all the parts and was able to put it back together and it worked! Since I had already bought 4 other replacement switches, he installed them as well.

Default Same Thing as "another Top Issue"

On my 3-month old(for me) 2000 C-70:
Passenger window stopped working and Top jammed on it when closing as it had not rolled down the required couple of inches..ended up knocking two or the rear sensors out of whack that prevented the boot cover from closing...Dealer Service got it closed for $100 diagnostic fee then quoted me over $1,400 to "hopefully" fix the problem....all that for
2 sensors and a window motor...wish I'd just opened the door when i was closing the top since the window wasn't working...that constant chime can
drive a sane man crazy so it's lucky I'm already there....

The problem was the back glass wasn't moving properly and was catching on a bar. Manually moved the glass into the right position twice and now top works with no problems.
