Automatic Transmission Dip stick

Dip stick
I have a 2003 C 70 convertible and it took me days to find it. Facing the engine, close to the battery is a large rubber hose running from the front of the engine, up over the top. Remove the top clamp and push the hose to YOUR left. Down at the very bottom you will see a little (1/2 inch) YELLOW plastic cap. There is a metal clip that locks the cap in place. It is very hard to move the clip and pull the stick. So I stick a screw driver to move the clip to release it. You should be able to pull the stick out.
BE CAREFUL... THERE IS VERY LITTLE ROOM DOWN THERE. I broke mine down in the tube and had to remove to tube to get me broken part. I feel lucky that the part did NOT fall all the way down into the tranny.
When I did a fliud change I made a 2 foot long dip stick out of a heavy plastic tie-strap.
Cb if you have questions just ask
