Default Battery Drain Help!

I have a 2000 C70 and recently installed an aftermarketkit that hardwires an iPod into the stock head unit. I left town for two weeks immediately after having this installed. When I returned my battery was COMPLETELY dead and unable to be jumped. I had AAA come out and they said all I needed was a new battery. I installed the new battery and everything was fine for a week until the battery died again. At first I was able to jump it to get it going, but the next day I went to start it and it was COMPLETELY dead. I am guessing this might be coincidence that I had the iPod kit installed and maybe the alternator died or is it possible they are related. Please help.

Default RE: Battery Drain Help!

a quick and simple way to check if its your alternator, is to start the car, and while its running disconnect the negative lead. If the car shuts down, your altenator is bad. If it keeps running then your altenator is fine, and you have something that is draining the battery.
