Default C70 Headlight Dial

Hi all,

I have a problem with the dial that turns on my headlights. I have to press the whole dial in to keep my headlights on. If I play with it awhile, eventually, the headlights stay on, but then the inside lights stay off and it's totally dark on the dash. Anyone have any experience with this?

You will need to replace the headlight switch. The tabs that hold the switch together brake and the switch comes apart.

When the headlights go on, but the dash isn't lit up, those are your daytime running lights that are on, not your headlights. It does sound like the switch needs to be replaced. I would bring the car into either a dealer or an independent Volvo shop to get an opinion on the issue. Those switches can sometimes be pretty pricey.
