Hello all. I posted a post earlier a couple of weeks ago regarding my 2002 C70 overheating. Well after a couple of mechanics looking at the car, it turns out that 2 of the 5 piston heads have 30% missing. With that being said I am being told that I need a complete new/used motor.

My question to all of you is:
1. How much does a used engine replacement usually cost (done by a certified mechanic)
2. Will I get my money out of the car if I go to re-sell the car after the replacement?

I owe ZERO on the car, but I am hesitant to pay a ton of money for an engine replacement and not get it out of the car when I re-sell it. Other than the engine, the car is in great shape with no cosmetic flaws.

Any advise would be great.

Labor is usually like 22 to 24 hours for an engine swap.
I would think you could make money back for a C70.
