I am both new to this forum and new to Volvo's so please take it easy on me.
I've recently bought a 2003 C70 convertible and so far love it.
Being a 10 year old car there are a couple of things which do not quite work properly.
One problem I need help with is the rear windows.
One refuses to budge at all and the other is really slow in raising, it squeaks and doesn't quite go back to the right place.
Couple of questions, what could be causing the problem with the window which doesn't move? There is no sort of 'clicking' when I try to lower it, and there is no movement if I try to move it by hand.
The 'child locks' on the drivers door seem to activate so I'm not sure it's an electrical problem, it seems more mechanical with the motor in my own opinion.
The other window, is this just age? Do I need to grease the runners or does this sound like the motor on it's way out?
If I need to get to the motors, how do I do that?
Having had 4 door cars for over 20 years, I'm quite used to ripping panels off to get to the inside of the door but this is totally different from what I'm used to.
