You will truly enjoy the Greenstuff pads!! Don't make the mistake of Redstuff as they take too long to heat up for city driving. They are track only pads.

I use them on two autos and am very satisfied. I used to use Ferodo but I believe the Greenstuff is superior.

Just don't get 18 or 19 inch wheels!! Volvo has such pitifully small rotors (for God's sake, a MX-5 has 11.5 inch stock!!) that when you install large open wheels.............well, the tiny rotors just look............stupid!! There is a 60 series Volvo running around my town driven by a kid and if he thinks his auto looks 'cool'........well........it doesn't!

Joe, the Volvo (in the U.S.) with 17 inch wheels comes with larger rotors...........ie: about 1 inch larger than the standard 16 inch wheel c70. In fact with the larger rotor from Volvo you must mount 17 inch wheels to clear. So........apparently you already have the largest rotor from Volvo assuming you are running factory 17 inch Volvo wheels and so the pads along with stainless flexible hoses and fresh DOT 4 brake fluid will do wonders for you. Unless you are going racing, vented rotors do little to help (they relieve gas which builds up between the pad and rotor and also are good in rain as the water is given a path out of the rotor) but they do look pretty neat!

Joe, I use a pressure bleeder and alternate ATe fluids. First I use ATE Super Blue. You will know when all the old fluid is flushed as the individual bleeders will start showing blue fluid. The next flush (annually unless racing at which time you will flush after each event) I use ATE Gold fluid. Of course that will start to change colour (gold) when the blue fluid is flushed from the system. It is a pretty neat arrangement and ATE has a high boiling point for those track days you may participate in. By all means, post some pictures when the job is done. I like the idea of shorter springs but make sure you change out the 'sway' bar as the factory piece is junk. IPD makes the best one on the market. Lastly, put a stress bar on the sturts. I purchased mine from a Canadian outfit....I cannot recall right now as I am in New Jersey and not home. At my age, you forget a lot of 'things' and one of them is the brand of the bar. I have five autos that I maintain along with a jet boat and two scooters (Cushmans) and my mind is on work right now and so I have poor recall of exactly what brands of parts are on which vehicle.
