I have been trying unsuccessfully to install an aftermarket Alpine CD player in my C70 for a while. I have the correct wiring harness, and connected all the wires, and when I put the CD player in everything lights up and works, but there is no sound. Please also note that I have installed A LOT of cd players, and have never ran into this problem.

Someone told me that I have to manually turn on the amp connected to the speakers. IS this right? where would I do that??

just to let you know I hate all of you. it astonishes me that not one person that views these forums has knowledge about installing an aftermarket cd player into a c70. seriously though, this will probably be the last time I use this forum. Volvo owners use swedespeed.com, it has more members and better feedback.

 

I had posted to one of your posts about installing the radio.Im not sure what happened to it.
You will have to change the signal to the amp.Or find a din adapter to connect to it.

We try the best we can here.Most C70 people just pay other people to install them.

We don't need the negativity or the attitude here because no one knew the answer to your quiestion.
I have answered your quiestion on one of the forums.I am not going to answer it on every forum you post it on.Once for the answer is enough.

 

Kudos to you Tech! If all of us knew the answer to every question posed,..............well...............I guess there is no need for a tech!! Those of us who read this forum know that you VOLUNTEER your time and knowledge and appreciate the help that you give. Please do not let the remark of c70r tarnish your outlook.

 

It really doesn't bother me I just hate the attitude when quiestions aren't answered quickly.
Some of us also have to do research to answer some quiestions.

The remark made was totally uncalled for if he felt that way then he could have just not returned and not said anything.
