Default C70 Timing belt. (need help)

Hello, new user here. Been browsing the forums and finally decided it was time to register.

So here's the problem: Been working on my c70, doing a timing belt, water pump and serpentine belt replacement. As I was taking off my timing belt the cam moved from the marked position I had set it. What can be done to fix this issue or possibly prevent one. Thanks!

There is a cam locking tool you can get online. Course, waiting on it to come in the mail won't help much...

Camshaft Locking Tool

As far as fixing it, your just going to have to rotate everything to top-dead-center probably (obv not an expert).

The engine is not timed at TDC.

Just one cam moved? Are you using the correct marks or did you make your own?

Both of the cam's that have the marks you're suppose to line up moved I would say around 5 degrees from where I lined them up. I'm wondering if i can just move them back by hand or something?

rule of thumb if you can line your marks back up you should be ok just make sure everything is lined up when you put tension on the belt. you should be able to move them with a wrench do not use a ratchet as it can let the cam roll. good luck
