hey every one.. first off i wanan say that i did a long search and couldent find answers for whats wrong with my car!
its a 1999 Volvo C70 covt with 85k miles

there are a few things that have kinda all poped up at once

while on a lil drive i was in the pass seat when i tryed the roll the window down while the top was down.. the lil plastic swich that controlls the window up/down came clean off very easly.. i didnt see any spots where it broke so i was able to place it back in.. how ever the windows (none of them) would no longer roll up/down not even with the drivers side swichs also i noitced the lil green lights that use to glow so bright were no longer working also... i tryed all the swichs in the car with no luck... i also found that the power mirror controls were also no longer working...BUT for what ever reason the windows WILL roll up and down with the top swich when ever u put the top up/down...but the lil lights on the window swichs still dont work AND that lil "beep" the car use to make when the top was fully up no longer sounds

now on to the seats.. the driver seat has all ways been a bit of a pain to work.. it would some times work with the power seat swichs but then others you had to use one of the memory seat presets inorder to move the seat... but the pass seat also went out on my same trip! the lil lever thats on the top of the seat that controls the movement for rear seat passengers has never worked so u sould have to use the swichs which always worked 100% up untill the moment when i was trying to move the seat back so a friend could get in... then bam i let off the swich and thats it.. the seat would respond nolonger.. (and boy is it stuck in a odd spot) so now the pass seat which had the 100% working swichs no longer works but the driver seat still works the same...

hopefully theres just some kinda fuse or an easy fix for all this... dose anyone know?


also on a side note it seems like the drivers heated steat works but the pass seat dose not.. and the radio seems to be just useing the right side speakers..(could be just my crazy mind dreaming of more problems tho)....could this all be linked?

i had this problem on g/f's C70, the seat just quit responding. When i replaced the plugs to clear a Misfire code it had, i disconnected the battery to reset the computer. The seat has worked fine ever since.

 

hmm ill have to give that a shot..

 

1. Check all the fuses under the hood for the windows.
2. The seats are 2 different problems. The Drivers side sounds like a bad switch panel(switches) The passenger side all has 2 problems. The not folding foward is the cable broke from the side handle to the latch. The second problem might be the spring broke on the metal part in the seat. There is a micro switch in the seat all the way on the side closest to the door. If you reach your hand down by the hinge point feel and see if there is something that feels loose it will kind of rotate. Then you can also try going from drivers side or feel for the micro switch. Try pressing the micro switch and see if the seat works if so then you will need to install a screw from the side to hold the spring in place so all works normally again.

The seat heater not sure without seeing it.
The radio might be the din cable in the back of the radio bad. Remove the radio and play with the bug round din cable and see if the speakers start working.
