Code P0030
CEL is on with P0030. I understand it's the bank 1 sensor 1 heater circuit. Possible causes are vacuum leak, wiring, or sensor itself. As the sensors are quite expensive and I can't say when I'll have time to check the vacuum and wiring, is there long term damage to ignoring the code until I get it fixed? Gas mileage has not changed, engine performance has not changed. How does one go about checking the vacuum? Just put my hand over the tubing and feel for flow? Thanks
From all the time working on Volvo's the heater circuit code means you need a new sensor.
When the car is cold the sensor heats up to start reading faster. It is just not heating up.
For now it should not affect performance overall.
But will keep setting the light.
