Default C70 Rear view mirror

Hi guys,

My rear view mirror on my C70 is....how best describe it.....basically i cant see through it and it needs to be replaced.

Can i use some generic OEM product or does it have to be a genuine Volvo part as they are really expensive and I cant justify that much money for the rear view mirror anyway. There are plenty advertised on ebay but for S70s S80s etc but not C70.

Any help would be great.

are you willing to use a broadway mirror? they just mount right over the existing mirror and give you a better view.

If you definitely need a new mirror I would try to install the newer style mirror with the compass.
BTW: I'm dying to see how the Monza wheels will look on your car ICE. Really like that particular mesh style rim.

Rims look good ICE. The rear view mirrors I was describing are on Ebay. They are for a newer C30 and C70. Pretty pricey, but I think they were around 180ish. One thing that I am not sure on in the description is they are region encoded. Probably needs to be in a newer Volvo if we had to change this setting.

This is for a 2007 model, the 08-09 one is almost 300$. Myswedishparts is the seller. This would undoubtedly not be plug and play, but I highly doubt the installation would be that involved. Hardest part may not be the wiring at all, but mounting it if the bolt holes are different.

No mix up, just saying it might be cool to have the compass in the rear view is all. Whether the mirror is auto dim or not you can still install it in the coupe.
