Cruise Control Will Not Engage

Had a weird one today on my new 2006 C70. I was driving to work and tried to use the cruise control, the cruise light came on as advertised, but when I pushed the + button, nothing happened! Any ideas? I'll schedule for maintenance next week. Thanks.

No engine light. It's working fine again......

The only thing I can think, is that I hit the button a couple of times real fast, when it didn't engage I hit the minus button as well. Maybe I confused the thing! It has been working fine.
