Considering your four previous posts. Besides buying the vehicle what have you done to it to fix the problems? Did you buy the vehicle knowing it had these problems or did they occur shortly after purchase? Do a complete stage 0 and get the car in perfect running order. Of course that will involve spending some money, good luck.

rotar arm
put standard filter box back on it with new filter (done away with that stupid cone filter)
pcv and all pipes
coolant system flush and also thermostat well didnt really change it i just had to put one in as there wasnt one in there.is there any reason why the thermostat from the car is it hiding something bad.
im doing the fuel filter tomorrow.

That's quite a bit of work and parts. When you say all the pipes, are you describing all the vacuum lines? Thermostat missing is quite a mystery.

Have the replacement parts made an improvement?

car still isnt running right but as i have said i changed the pcv last week and i have noticed today that the car is breathing heavy out of the oil filler cap and its blowing oil out onto the cam cover and leaking down the back of the engine.
its just a thought and no doubt somebody will put me straight but with the problem of the car running with no thermostat could it be that its been running rich diluting the oil and lowering the boiling point like i said just a thought if probably wrong.

Sorry, I don't. There are a lot of experienced Volvo'ers on here... but with any forum, it takes some time to get your post read by the right person. Just make sure you stay positive and someone will come along with some insight. Negative posts will just make people not want to help. Good luck... hope someone can answer this for you. Me? I am too new to Volvo to help, sorry.
