Default Fuel Cap Stuck C70 2007

Can anyone help? I am wondering if there is a manual release for the above car. It's a UK spec model. The release button on the dash has developed an intermittent fault. Any guidance would be appreciated.

You should be able to peel back the trunk liner on that side and access the servo to manually move the plunger. The owners manual should have instructions.

Press the button on the light switch panel (see the illustration on page 55) with the ignition switched off to unlock the fuel filler door. Please note that the fuel filler door will remain unlocked until the vehicle begins to move forward. An audible click will be heard when the fuel filler door relocks.

Hi all, thanks for the replies, I am very grateful. I took another look at the issue today and found that if I removed the trim protecting the rear lights on the same side as the petrol cap and looked very carefully under the trim towards the direction of the petrol cap, there is a small piece of string which, when pulled, opens the cap. What a relief as I was running on fumes!!
