Default fuel filter

TECH, I attempted to change the fuel filter on the c70...........following the instruction in the 850/c70 chilton's. The book calls for a 17mm open end wrench to release the fittings on either end of the filter. Not so on my c70! there are plastic caps surrounding the ends of the fuel lines and I have no idea on how to release them so as to change out the filter. Have you a suggestion?

Stick a pair of Needle nose pliers between the filter and the line and push the line off.
You might have to keep the nose of the pliers open a Hair to push the release in the line properly.
