Default Headlight change

I have a 2011 C70 with halogen headlights but every previous car I’ve had has had Xenon HID so these halogens just aren’t bright enough on dark highways at night. I was wondering if it was possible to buy the headlight housings with HID standard (from the inscription models) and plug them into my car. Are the plugs the same? If not is it possible to just buy aftermarket HID with the ballast? Thank you

Yes you can fit aftermarket HID's with ballasts, I've done it on my 2001 C70 T5. Straightforward change, the kits cost between £20 -£40 and you can select the light intensity. I have the 6000's for near daylight.
