Default Heated seat switch issue

I have a 99 C70 lpt, the other day I went to switch on my seat heater and the LED for the drivers seat did not come on, and there was no heat. I switched on the passenger seats heater and that one did light up and heat up.

I checked the fuses, and there is only one fuse for both seat heaters, is there some other problem that I could be missing? Do I need to replace both switches? If so how would I go about doing that?

Has the center console been removed lately?

nope, no work has been done on the center console ever. the only thing I remember is that a few months ago I turned on the seat heater and it did the same thing. But it started to work a few min later.

I would pop the switch out and make sure it is getting power. Also make sure the plug is in the switch tight.

How would I go about popping the switch out? And to test it, can I use a standard household voltage tester? Like the ones you stick in outlets to see if they are still live?

You you will need a volt meter that tests DC voltage not AC voltage.

You can carefully pull up on the coin tray and it will come out then you should be able to reach the switch to push it up.
Or you can swap the switches and see if it works then.

Thanks for the help!

So I pulled the switches and swapped them with each other. It seems like there is a problem with the driver side switch. Can I just buy one switch? or is there a way to fix it?

You should be able to buy the switch. Not sure how much. Also check e-bay.
