heated seat switch dark
I got a 96 850 Turbo. my passanger heated seat switch does not illuminate with the dash lights. the swich works fine and the heater light works fine. but the switch will not illuminate.Isthe bulb changeable or does the whole switch need to be replaced. thanks
Yes the bulbs inside your switches are replaceable. First remove the switch by prizing the lower right side of the switch with
a small flat blade screwdriver. The bulb holder is white, you will see it on the back side of the switch. It is removed with
the same screwdriver by turning anticlockwise to the left. The bulb removes with a sharp knife by unbending the bulb
leads. New bulbs are available at Radio Shack, part number 272-1092, two bulbs for $1.79. You insert the bulbs
into the holders by passing the leads into the two holes in the top of the bulb holders and bending them around the
base like the originals.
I've replaced many of my small switch bulbs this way.
Hope this helps.
