Why change the headlights?

Because on a stock housing when using HID's your going to be blinding everyone in sight. Their not made for HID usage.

Now with using a set of projector headlights from ABM you wont have this issue.

Even going to a set of E-code lenes will help more then stock headlights.

Which C70 do you have? Do you have the 1gen, or the 2nd gen?

Default HID Headlights

I have 2003 C70 convert. I live in a small town where all the roads for 50 miles are two lane , doudle yellow and 45 mph. , small hills and very twisty. My biggest driving danger is deer. I have installed piaa bulbs... head lights and fog. I have also installed a set of Piaa yellow fogs. Like most people I drive with my lights on ALL the time. Mostly so those people who pass on double yellow coming the other way can see me coming. It happens here a lot. I used to do that on my motorcycle but not anymore.... changed bikes...new one is slow... Yamaha Venture... for that kind of driving !

Your 03 will have the jewel reflector style lamps. Numerous posts on the subject, but most will agree that using a projector to aim the light will give you better light output. If I had to drive where deer was a big factor I would look more into an IR camera/screen setup than newer lights. Something like the Pathfinder setup.
