LEDs and MY2007 C70
I would like to replace by standard brake light bulbs with LED's.
This wekedn I attempted the task, I connected the load resistor across what I thought was the brake light +VE and -VE feeds and when the brake pedal was pressed the LED worked great., however the reversing light also came on, but wasvery dim. I connected the other side of the car the same, and once again that reversing light also came on, but now bothreversing light bulbs were brighter, but still dim. Thewires I used was the green/black and plain black.
Also does anyone know how to connect the near side rear fog lamp on the same model car. I presume a jumper cable is required, but would like to know across what terminals
Thnaks in anticipation

Were you just using bulbs like these?

Hi, yes I was, the bulbs I used are almost identical, they have 24 LEDs in total situated at the front and side if the bulb. Everything worked OK, no "check bulb" warning, except the reversing lights came on very dim when the brake lights came on. The reversing lights are still filament style bulbs.
Hi, I had to mess with the wiring to install the load resistors. Without these installed later cars display a bulb failure message due to the low current drain of the LEDs. I connected the load resistor wireswith scotch loks on the positive feed and the earth. I reverted to normal by removing the load resistors and installing the normal type filament bulb. Once I done this everything was back to normal. and no reversing lights when the brake lights came on. I therefore presume that with the LEDs and LRs, I possibly connected across the reversing light power feed or earth feed and there a leak of power to the reversing light earth or live feed. On the 2007 C70 the power block on the light cluster feeds the indicators, reverse lights and the brake lights. Side lights, and fog lights are on a second power block.
