Default Low coolant light and check engine light on!

Hi everyone

The light came on two days ago, checked the coolant fluid , everything seems to be in order. I changed the radiator couple of months ago so I was surprised that this happened.
Today, the check engine light also came on and both of them are now constantly on when I start the engine. As mentioned, the fluid level is fine and the temp gauge is in the middle, engine running fine.

Any suggestions?
Thanks
Alex

Hey Alex, check the coolant level before you start the engine. Not sure about your car but mine has the level sensor in the overflow tank. Make sure it's between the min and max mark, if not, add some coolant or distilled water.

You do have an old car, 10+ years so, the CEL is likely for an entirely different issue. Get that read at an auto parts store or by a mechanic to see what's going on there. How many miles do you have on the car?

Thanks for the reply.
The fluid is between min and max. The red coolant light has gone off now so I guess it's a sensor issue.
Mileage is 130000.
Will take it to mechanic to see what code it shows.

I have a '11 c70 t5, the engine light came on after a day of driving around 500mi. Everything is good, I'll check the radiator level and see if its low,,,,I got caught in a traffic jam and had to set for about 2hrs,,,,,
