She has about 140K miles on her, I think I should definatly change the tranny fluid.

I know the autos are very picky about what fluid you put in, what about the manual transmissions?

What does volvo spec for manual transmission fluid?

Can i just put in a nice synthic gear oil? If so what weight? Any recommendations?

Keep in mind, I do tow things quite often with this car as well.

 

Upon more research, the spec is Volvo Synthetic Gear Oil p/n 1161423. The dealership said it is superseeded by p/n 1161645.

Does anyone out there use other fluids?
