Need help! Don't know where to start! Reduced Engine Performance
So at idle the engine would rev a little bit and normal idle, rev up and normal idle, rev up and normal idle... Had codes pulled they indicated bank 1 is running lean. I was told a leaking vacuum line was more than likely the culprit. When I start the motor and listen with hood up I can hear a hissing sound of air like a vacuum line is leaking... Down near the oil filter area. I sprayed starter fluid down there, sure enough slight increase in RPMs. The hose I thought was the leaking vacuum line is apparently the PCV valve hose... I tightened the hose clamp holding it to oil filter housing and it sounded better kind of... Still had idle revving so I was gonna get to it later. Well today I start the car and drive a block and the "reduced engine performance" alarm pops up and after pulling over and letting it sit about 15 mins and checking all my belts and hoses and fluid levels it started fine and drove fine. Had codes pulled again. This time it's saying running lean at idle bank 1 AND something about the most likely solution was replacing intercooler hoses. I would like to note on the code sheet it said a secondary DTC could be the gear selector module which the time it threw the reduced engine performance alarm on me it was shifting funny for a second. So what in the heck is it? The PCV hose? The turbo intercooler hoses? The gear selector module? I mean two have to do with the turbo and one is part of the transmission/powertrain... Please help. I have the air box out and am looking at these vacuum hoses and PCV hose and about to take the intake manifold off to get a better look but I don't want to.
