Default New to forum need HELP finding good dealer/mechanic in NYC/Long island (June '10)

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the Forum, this is actually my first posting I live in Queens, NYC and I have been going to Bayridge Volvo for service, that's where I bought my 08 C70. I got her new and had been going to this dealer for warranty work and such. Although they are all the way in Brooklyn, they have amazing hours. They are open until midnight! HOWEVER and i really do hate to complain, the staff are quite rude and the mechanics are quite incompetent. I have been to them on 3 occassions for rather minor warranty work and everytimes i have to return to them the second time So i am looking for a new dealer to bring my car in for service. I am looking at Nemet, Karp, Hassle and Manhattan Volvo. Does anyone have any experience with these dealers, please let me know of your experience. I desperately need a new place to get my car service!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Kibiski

I called up Volvo USA and they told me Hassle and Karp are the best in the area. At first I asked them if they have a ranking system for their dealers but she said no (her fingers were crossed) but she told me which ones have alot of great customer surveys and which ones got "no good survey result at all" (her words not mine) The lowest ranking was Nemet and Bayridge - the one i have been going to!!!

Oh to add insult to injury after I got my car back from Bayridge Volvo still unfixed and have time to examine it, minus the obvious mud and dirt all over the front driver area; i found a panel on the dash board is scratched up and is jammed open! also they got some black marks on my white leather interior and a door ding!
