Default Newbie question!!! Turbo not working!!

First of all i would like to introduce myself. I'm a new member in this forum, and I just bought my first Volvo today. Its a 1998 Volvo C70 white, everything is stock. Second of all i really need help to solve my problem: Car doesn't seem that fast for a turbo car, i'm guessing turbo is not working. No engine check light, or any other short of problem. Is there anyway i can check the turbo is running or anything that i need to replace to get the turbo to kick in again? All comments are welcome, and please try to make it simple as you can, since i don't know anything about Volvo. Thanks a bunch guys! (my English isn't so good so please ignore any grammar or spelling lolz )

What engine do you have in the car? Do you hear the turbo spooling? auto or manual?

stock engine i think, i don't hear the turbo spooling at all, its auto. Car is getting worst last couple of days. Acceleration is super slow, and hardly get up to 60mph. Even a school bus can take off on me Could it be the turbo is seized up?

Make sure all the intake air ductwork is intact and connected, from air cleaner to turbo to inter cooler to intake manifold.
With this kind of problem, you should have a CEL showing.
After that, unplug the MAF to see if the engine runs better or not.
Buy a Haynes manual from your local auto parts store.

Default Lack of turbo

I have a 2003 C70 which I purchased with 70,000 miles. I have had a number of Saab turbos and have a GMC Typhoon (turbo charged) for 20 years and my 2008 Chevy has a turbo.
My C70 just did not have the "punch" that a turbo should have. It was a turbo boost value (about $50.00). The car really acts like a turbo car now. I used a cheap computer scanning tool to find the problem.

Questions ? Cb
