heres another problem:

is there any reason why both of my 12v outlets (cigarette lighter sockets) don't have any power?

could it be just a fuse for both or will i have to go in deep?

 

Check fuse first if not they might be unplugged.

 

i sure hope it is the fuse cause the socket in the rear looks like someone was in there messing around cause the woodgrain piece wasent installed right.

the fuse was blown for the cigarette lighter sockets, new fuse in and they are powered! now i can charge my phone on the go.

today i also hard wired my V1 (valentine 1) radar detector in the the car and it's working perfectly. pics will be taken if you really wanna see how it looks in the car cause you don't know it's there unless your inside the car.

i also purchased a new outside temp sensor for the dash, but it still doesn't work [:@]so, the oldsensor probably wasen't broken. so, now i have to figure out how to test the circuit for that thing and make it work again.

i got a much needed alighnment and wheel balance today. the alighnment was so far off that i don't know how the car even drove! and the new wheels i bought were balance before they were shipped, but they must have had Stevie Wonder do it cause all the wheels were out of balanced by no less than 2.50oz!

so i need to fix the outside temp sensor and the 2 blown speakers in the car to be almost done with the "restoration" of my C70

 

How about the manual shifter **** on the 850? Does it come off the same way as the automatic ****?

It will pull off but it is harder to come off.

 

hey Tech, whats the service rate at your place? i may need to bring my car there to install the 2 blown speakers (since i don't know how to get into the dash yet) and to get my outside temp sensor working on the dash.

or if you wanna do it on the side, we can do that too.
