Hey guys, I am having a problem with my c70 1999 HPT. The ABS light popped on, but i know it cannot be the brakes. The first time this happened is when I was close to redline ( manual trans) in second gear and the car began to engine brake. Now when i drive sometimes the engine brakes on its own and does a sputter. Is it possible that i blew a gasket head? I am going to bring it to the volvo dealer, but they usually try to take you for a ride and fix things that dont need to be fixed and leave the original problem lingering....

Does anyone have any experience with this? Anyone know possible expenseses in the situation?. I'm almost positive that it can't be the brakes

The ABS module might be bad Very common on these cars.
