Hi All:
I have a 2008 C70. Love it, but there is one aspect of the car that really belies the quality of a Volvo.
Over every bump, I hear thuds. Coming from the trunk area. Both sides.
I have changed shocks and the shock mounts. Sway bar links are now new. I even changed the springs. Lastly I changed the the upper control arms and bushings. No impact at all in the thudding sounds whatsoever.
My question to fellow C70 owners, is this just the way the car is? I wish I had a friend with a similar vintage C70 to compare!
It is like the car doesn't have any sound isolation back there.
Any experiences with yours that you can share?

For some reason your question about noises in the trunk reminds me of an old Rodney Dangerfield style of joke...

Customer complains to a mechanic about noises in the trunk. Mechanic asks "what's rolling around in the trunk". Customer replies "you wouldn't know him"...
