Default Painfully slow seat belt retraction

The driver's seat belt retracts s-l-o-w-l-y, so much in fact it's been caught in the closing door several times now. I just came back form the dealer, and he stated that this works as designed. A few years ago, drivers were complaining the seat belts were too tight.....

Anyway, any ideas how to retract the seat belts faster?

Thanks,

They are slow.............I am in the habit of 'tossing' the belt toward the back seat when exiting my c-70.

Sure, I would agree but try to get that under warranty. I already have been that route and was told that the belt retractor was working as designed.............just like the unbelievable rattles in the sun roof shade................just like the poor window alignment....and the list goes painfully on and on. BMW treats you like gold on their warranty!!! I have a great dealer.....it is simply the fact that Volvo will not entertain the "little things".
