My wife just bought herself a 2004 C70 convertible. The left front parking lamp is not working. At first I thought, just a bulb. Easy fix.
But not so. The bulb is good.


We did get a stack of service receipts with the car. I noticed in going through the history, that the previous owner complained of this a couple of years ago. The shop stated on the ticket that it was a wiring problem and quoted $150 to diagnose the issue. The owner declined. The light is still out.
The turn signal is fine. I thought about just running the left one off the circuit for the right side, but when you look at the turn signal operating, the parking light drops out when the turn lamp flashes. So that would look pretty bad when the right turn was being signaled and left parking light was flashing, too.


On to the questions: Has anyone ever seen this on their car, and if so what was the problem? Does anyone know what to check?
I don't have a wiring diagram or shop manual yet. Which manual would be the best to get?
