My car is a 01' C70 Volvo 2.3 litre Turbo... Anyone out there know how or ever installed a power antenna mass? I was going through a carwash last week forgetting to turn off my stereo and it snapped in half. I purchased a used antenna mass along with the long thin nylon drive gear that pulls it up and down from inside the mass. Rather someone knowlegeable tell me than regret later... Thanks!

 

There is a black nut on the top by the body. You need to remove the nut and turn the radio on and the old assembly should feed all the way out. Install the new mast the right way and turn the radio off and it should pull it down in the assembly. Then reinstall the nut. Also make sure you install the metal sleeve around the mast after it is in.That is before installing the nut.

 

The metal sleeve was already on it being a used antenna... Anyway, easy install and works perfect! Thanks much Tech, you have come through for me once again!!!

Man you rock...My sister went through a carwash with her T5 and left her antenna up too...
I bought the replacement last week and just thought I would take a look on here before I tried to fix it.
