Hi.

Currently troubleshooting a faulty SC-901/Power amp combination, which is only producing a repetitive 'burbing' sound. Pretty sure it is the amp as I can get it to reproduce the 'burp' by powering up the Amp by applying +12v to central pin pow the 6-pin DIN (AMP) connector - but where is the Amp located?

I've followed the cable back behind the glove box, but then it disappears in to the loom. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, if it does turn out to be the Amp that's faulty, does anyone know if it is possible to substitute other makes/models rather than the standard Volvo amp?

Is the amp under the back seat? Seems like I read or heard that it was. Hummm...., let me know if it is.

 

Power amp is located in the trunk, left side, in the quarter panel behind the little storage bin in the side wall of the trunk or behind the 6 disc changer if yours is so equipped.
