Default Problem Unlocking 2012 C70 Manually

Hey,
Today I went out to go fishing and my car would not open with the key fob. It usually automatically unlocks but even pressing the unlock button on the key fob it doesn’t give any indication of unlocking. I replaced the key fob’s battery to no avail. I tried the physical manual key built into the key fob but it only makes about an 8th of a turn in the door’s lock and doesn’t unlock the door manually for some reason. I tried it both ways. The trunk does unlock but the pass through is so small I can’t even come close to getting through to the front. I was wondering if anyone has a solution to the manual key problem or any advice or ideas before I pay a lot to get it towed to the nearest Volvo service center.

P.S. my car has a past where it was stolen so the locks could have been changed by the previous owner without the Key fob’s manual key being changed.

Thanks in advance.

A car unlocking service would have tools to get into your car. For instance a long hook that goes in at the rear corner of the window (prying it away from the frame) and pulls an inside door handle.

Have you tried unlocking the passenger side door with the aluminum blade?
